Nayomi De Silva

CEO – Burgundy Consultants (Pvt) Ltd. As a girl from a local self-employee father, Nayomi spent much of her childhood with a small family business, which made the foundation for her to be an entrepreneur. The perfect mix of entrepreneurship, spirit and mindset was cultivated in her by striving together with the family business during the biggest business turmoil they were undergoing. After years of industrial experience and good education, Nayomi founded Burgundy Consultants to support Sri Lankan businesses to reach international markets, by using a specialized, creative, strategy-driven brand development practice. Today, Burgundy executes Sri Lanka’s National Export Strategy for ICT / BPM Sector creating spaces for Sri Lankan innovators in a global context. In 2020, Burgundy became the best entrepreneur merit award winner in the service sector in Sri Lanka for their progressive contribution to the ICT export in Sri Lanka to have a strong steady pace even during the pandemic. She is an Effie’s and, Black Dragon award winner for creative & effective brand campaigns. Burgundy had won the award for the best editorial of the year and represented Sri Lanka at the 18th World Diversity Conference held in the United States of America at the University of Texas. Nayomi is an integrated media design graduate from the University of Moratuwa Sri Lanka, an MBA holder for Entrepreneurship and currently reading for her PhD. Also, she is a professionally qualified human resource management personnel. Her passion for brand building, digital transformation and entrepreneurship has also driven her practice as a celebrated lecturer in 03 faculties at the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka and in the Faculty of Engineering in the National School of Business Management, Sri Lanka. Nayomi was the past secretary of National Educational Committee at All Ceylon Buddhist Congress. A reader, traveller and a perpetual futurologist.
